Our Organisation

The project is run by the ecumenical, non-profit organisation STOP dem Frauenhandel gGmbH, which is headquartered in Munich.

STOP dem Frauenhandel gGmbH has been working to combat human trafficking, forced marriage and sexual exploitation for over 25 years. In addition to the Bavarian Anti-Trafficking Helpline, it runs the JADWIGA specialist counselling centres in Munich and Nuremberg, which offer comprehensive support to affected women in crisis situations, as well as the Scheherazade shelter, a housing project for young women who are at risk of forced marriage. The work of STOP dem Frauenhandel is based on an intercultural, partisan approach that focuses on the dignity and self-determination of those affected. The organisation cooperates with authorities, political decision-makers and international partners to provide sustainable help and initiate social change.
